We lost today, 6-5, at CVU in the playdowns. Senior Mike Bouffard singled to break Bryant Perry's career marks of 50 singles and 86 times on base. He later scored to tie Perry's career mark of 48 runs, and with his fifth and final plate appearance of the game, tied Perry's career mark of 192 PAPs. The run scored brought him within one run produced of Perry's record of 73, but that's where Bouffard ended his CHS career.

In a 24-3 loss to Rice today, we set some dubious records: the 24 runs were the most ever allowed by CHS at home, breaking the old record of 20 set in a 1986 contest. Also, Mike Bouffard singled to tie Bryant Perry's career singles record of 50 and then walked to tie Perry's career record of 86 times on base.

Mike Bouffard's double against CVU was our 47th extra-base hit of the season, breaking the 1987 team's record of 46.

Many records fell today at home against Winooski. First off, Mike Bouffard broke Mike Brochu's 1982 single-season runs record of 27 when he scored for the 28th time. Sophomore Jason Carey tied and then broke Marc Ferlo's 1993 single-season doubles record of seven when he doubled twice. He now has eight this season. Also, junior Jeff Boyer hit our 28th double of the season, breaking the 1987 team's single-season record of 27.

In one of the more improbable comebacks in program history, we trailed MMU 6-0 going into the top of the seventh before plating eight runs in the final frame for the 8-6 victory. Of all things, this feat occurred at Centennial Field! It was also the 100th win of Head Coach Dave Saddlemire's CHS varsity coaching career.

In a 20-2 romp at Burlington High School, we set the team record for runs in a road game, bettering the 19 the team scored once in a 1982 contest and again in 1994. Also, senior Nick Antell stole the 1,000th base in CHS varsity baseball history [ed. note: due to a miscalculation, this was likely the 999th steal. Sorry, Nick].
